Hello, I am now 10w3 days! Can you even believe it? Seems like just yesterday I got my bfp :). Time goes by fast. Only another week and a half in the 1st trimester. Amazing. I think April 26th begins the second.
I had my first ultrasound at 8w3days and we saw a nice heartbeat and the baby was measuring well to my due date, November 6th-8th. I think it's more likely the 8th but the doctor chart says 6th so I'll go with that since it is earlier but I know when the time comes I'll be wondering, why aren't I delivering yet??? Oh right, because I am really due the 8th. :).
The past week has been ok, I've had some spotting which was a little nerve-wracking. So we went back in for another ultrasound, only 5 days after the last but the little peanut was still in there and beating even strong than before. It also seemed that the umbilical cord was pulsing more than it was the first time and the doctor even said "it" was moving around.
So that's it for now...just trying to keep things updated!
Welcome to my blog! I live in CT with my wonderful husband and children. We got married in August 2005. Our first child, Molly, was born on Halloween 2006. Jack was born on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009. I was fortunate to take 15 months off when Molly was born but was back in the professional working world for the past 4+ years. Now I am back at home, and figuring it out.

My First Post

Here it is, 8 weeks, 3 days...my first ultrasound. I am writing this a little later :) but realized I should probably put something other than Test Post next to this wonderful little picture. It was truly amazing to see that something was actually growing inside of me, and we were able to see the heartbeat and it was "strong." They didn't give us a rate, just said strong. John was impressed I think...I don't think he knew what to expect from the appointment, even though I told him I thought we'd have an ultrasound and be able to see it. Makes it all soooo real. We had told our parents and my sister already but after this appointment we felt comfortable telling the rest of the family. And I don't think my mom or dad could hold out any longer, they were bursting at the seams when we told them they had to wait another 2 1/2 weeks!
